I’m currently employed with the Palliser Regional School district. The district runs from Calgary all the way down to Coaldale – a large geographic area. There are 6600 students in the 42 schools of which there are 4 outreach programs, 3 alternative Low-German Mennonite programs, 8 alternative Christian schools and 16 Hutterite colony schools.
My role is to assist the teachers within Palliser in their quest to become 21st century teachers. As a result of this, I am expected to stay abreast of all the emerging tools and technologies that might enhance the delivery of the curriculum in the classroom.
I’m proud to say that I am happily married to my wife Jo-Anne coming on 28 years now. I have three children who are busy people – Brett is finishing up his residency down in Newfoundland, Katie is going to college in Calgary to become an LPN and Layne is in Dalhousie University looking to get into Education (or maybe Law!).
I’m going into my last year of my Master’s program through the University of Lethbridge. The cohort is 20 strong and we’re all graduating from the IT Leadership in Education! March 21st is the date set for the capstone presentations!
